SunPower lease?
You will receive an email with an electronic copy of your lease agreement for signature via EchoSign® (a secure electronic signature service). After your lease agreement is executed your installer will get the required permits and work with you to schedule your installation date. The entire process can take from 6 to 8 months. Timing for your system setup will vary depending on local turn-around times for permitting and approvals.

What warranties and guarantees are provided with the system I'm leasing?
SunPower guarantees the performance and maintenance of the system for the 20-year term of the lease. Our industry leading energy Production Guarantee ensures that your
system will produce a specified range of energy every year, or SunPower will pay or credit you for the shortfall (see your Production Guarantee document, for details). SunPower also obtains warranties from the installer for the installation and workmanship of the system. SunPower warranties the
equipment for the full term of the lease.

Lease Type kWh RATE CALCULATION
Monthly Lease Total (12) monthly payments in a year divided by the
expected production in that year = the rate per kWh.
Prepaid Lease Total prepaid amount divided by the expected
production over 20 years = the rate per kWh.
Partial Prepaid Lease The partial pre-payment amount divided by
the expected production over 20 years + the 12
monthly payments in a year divided by the expected
production that year = the rate per kWh

How is the Production Guarantee rate per kWh calculated on the lease?
The production guarantee rate per kWh is based on how much you have paid in to your lease, not on how much your utility rates are. Depending on the type of lease you have the performance guarantee rate is calculated as follows:

How is the Production Guarantee tracked?
Per the terms of your Lease agreement, SunPower Corporation Systems guarantees that the system will produce a range of kilowatt hours of electric energy (kWh) in each Guarantee Year. The total kWh produced by the system in a given year is measured by the hardware that is installed (SunPower Monitoring System) at the time of the system installation. In order to participate in the SunPower lease program you must establish communication with us via your high-speed internet connection, and maintain the internet connection so that our hardware can transmit information about the system's electricity production.
